Spanish Colonial Revival Style in Polk County Iowa

General Information

The Spanish- and Mexican-style architecture that became known as Spanish Colonial Revival (SCR) was popularized by the Panama-California Exposition of 1915 in San Diego. The goals of this site are to raise awareness of this lovely style in general and of the examples in Polk County Iowa in particular, and to provide resources for the owners of these scarce architectural gems.
